Appliances incorporating a timer are operated for the maximum period allowed by the timer. 1.2：Clasue 20.106 器具结构要求： EN 60335-2-14:2006 版如下 20.106 For appliances having a feed screw, the maximum cross-sectional dimension of the hopper, measured at least 100 mm from the upper edge of the feed screw, shall not exceed 45 mm. A feed pusher that fills the throat of the hopper shall be provided.
Compliance is checked by inspection and by measurement. A1:2008 版修正如下 20.106 Replace the last sentence of the requirement by the following:
A feed pusher shall be provided and the feed screw of the appliance shall not be accessible to test probe B of IEC 61032 with the pusher in position.
2. 有以上可见，A1：2008没有修改2006版的要求，而是进一步阐明2006版想表达的意思，以致消除读者分歧。A1:2008强调了下面几个要素：
2.1. “the number of cycles specified” 这是2006版没有表达清楚的要素，而A1强调了器具测试周期的次数是要达到标准所规定的次数的。例如手持式搅拌机测5个循环，普通搅拌机测10个循环。不再接受短时工作（KB）的测试方法。简而言之，器具测试的循环次数（the number of cycles)及器具休息时间(rest period)是不能够随说明书的描述而改变的。唯一能受说明书影响的是器具的工作时间(operating period)。 2.2. "Note 1 & Note 2 " 强调了当需要加载到额定功率做测试时，器具工作时间（operating period)及器具的循环次数（the mumber of cycles) 如何来规定。例如，开罐器的工作时间取决于完全打开一个直径为100mm的镀锡铁皮罐头所有的时间。带混合发面团功能的食品加工器的循环次数取决于加工完1kg面粉所需要的加工次数。
2.3. “the maximum quantity of ingredients” 器具工作时间（operating period)期间的停顿时间取决于清空和重新装载说明书规定的最大体积的混合物。而2006版没有强调“说明书规定的最大体积的混合物”。 2.4 当推进器在位置上的时候，进料螺杆不能被Probe B 测试手指触及。 3. 另外需要特别澄清的是：
其一：
• the maximum period stated in the instructions plus 1 min, for specified operating periods not exceeding 7 min;
• the maximum period stated in the instructions, for specified operating periods exceeding 7 min.
中的"specified operating periods" 是指标准规定的测试时间，而不是说明书规定的工作时间。例如 slicing machines，标准规定的时间是工作30min, 假设其说明书规定的工作是件是5min, 实际测试是工作5min, 而不是 5min + 1min, 因为specified operating periods=30min > 7min. 其二：
测试时，不能因为说明书规定的工作时间比标准规定的工作时间短，而一开始就按照说明书的工作时间来测试。正确的测试循序是 a.先按标准规定的动作时间测试; b.如果所得测试温升超过Table 3的限值，然后才按照说明书规定的工作时间做测试。
因为a步骤的测试不但要考虑温升有没有超，还要考虑器具是否冒烟，起火，高压是否通过等等。举例，假如slicing machines工作30min器具高压不能通过，但按说明书规定的工作时间测试5min, 测试没有问题。最后TEST RESULT 还是应判定为 FAILED.
